Join us for Supper at Six in the Massapequa Fellowship Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time and get to know each other a little better! All members of our united congregations are invited to attend. Please bring a friend or family member. Children are always welcome and there are always activities to keep them busy.
At our September dinner each attendee is asked to bring a potluck dish and a wrapped gift that is valued at no more than $10. The gift can be purchased or be a re-gift. We will again conduct our wild and crazy gift swap!
Joan and Joe Tischner and Ralph and Ruth Dettmann will provide the set-up, beverages and desserts for this dinner.
Please RSVP to Joan or Joe Tischner.
We will meet again on Sunday, October 28th and Sunday November 18th.
As our congregations continue to move forward toward merger, we need to begin to think about a name for our new ministry together. We are asking all of you to think about a name for what will be our new church. During the months of May & June suggestions may be submitted to Maria Studer or Joan Tischner, the Clerks of our Sessions. We look forward to your ideas. The final decision on the new name will be made by the Joint Sessions.
Please write down your name suggestion and drop it in the suggestion box on the Narthex table at Levittown & Massapequa.
[ Psalm 63 ] [ Comfort and Assurance in God’s Presence ] [ A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Judah. ] O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
“Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
